Situating Lyric

We invite you to join us for the first biennial conference of the International Network for the Study of Lyric, to be held at Boston University June 7–11, 2017.

This conference is co-organized by Boston University and the International Network for the Study of Lyric (INSL), a nonprofit association of scholars interested in the theory of poetry.

The main plenaries will be held in the Metcalf Trustee Ballroom at One Silber Way, Boston, MA 02215. Locations of all sessions will be in close proximity to the plenary. The complete schedule with locations will be posted to the conference website.

Your Conference Registration includes a welcome reception on Wednesday, June 7th from 5:30-7:00 pm, daily coffee breaks and snacks and daily lunches. The Registration fee will increase after Friday, April 28th at 5 pm (EDT) to $110 for Regular Registration and $80 for Graduate Student Registration.

The conference's social and culinary high point will be a very special dinner on Friday, June 9th from 6:30-10:30 pm in the Esplanade Ballroom at the Hotel Commonwealth at 500 Commonwealth Ave.

Daily Parking passes are available for advance purchase through Monday, June 5th at 5 pm (EDT). These passes will allow for parking at the Warren Towers Garage located at Hinsdale Mall. Daily Parking is also available by paying cash or credit card upon arrival at various campus lots. Overnight Parking passes are available for purchase to anyone who stays in the on-campus accommodations.

The Conference Registration fee is refundable minus a $15 service charge if cancelled by April 28; cancellations after that date will not receive a refund.
